As owners of Gravity Adventures, Andrew and Marie-Louise Kellett have over 15 years experience in the tourism industry and understand just what is needed for a great holiday. Indigo Blue is designed to be the perfect beach house and we hope you will enjoy your stay. 

 The House

Indigo Blue is a classic beach house and provides the ideal base for a laid back holiday. Situated on one of Langebaan’s best and most private beaches, Sandbaai, the house has its toes in the sand and you literally walk from the front door out onto the beach. The shallow and protected lagoon waters are great for kids with the nearby rock pools providing hours of entertainment. Simply furnished with a west coast feel, it is fully equipped with everything that you might need for a seaside holiday. The following info applies to our Peak Season packages – see the Off Peak, Low Season and Local rates and packages below.  

The house sleeps 6-8 people in either 3 double bedrooms or 2 double bedrooms and one bunk room, with a bunk bed and 2 singles. There are two bathrooms, one with a bath and shower, one with just a shower. Bedrooms are equipped with down duvets and pure cotton linen and all have lagoon views. Bath & Beach towels are provided.

There are two spacious living areas, one at the rear of the house, opening on to a wind protected courtyard with braai area and hot outdoor shower and the other at the front, with direct access to the beach. All living areas have beautiful lagoon views. The front living area has a TV, DVD player, music system and DSTV. Some classic board and card games as well as some toys and beach paraphernalia is supplied.  The open plan kitchen is equipped with a 5 plate gas stove with electric oven, a fridge/freezer and a microwave/convection oven. Housekeeping supplies and equipment are provided. There is no washing machine (who wants to do laundry on holiday?) but there are numerous laundry services in town. Wooden floors in the bedrooms and cement screed throughout the rest of the house mean that beach sand is never a problem.   To complete your perfect beach holiday, we provide 2 Fluid Synergy sit on top kayaks as well as a Fluid Vaya for the kids, all complete with paddles and PFDs. Optional extras include the hire of our semi rigid inflatable, Balega. If you bring your own boat, you may use the Gravity mooring in front of the house. There is also space on the beach to keep your Hobie.  And if you book for a weekend, we won’t chase you out early on Sunday – stay as long as you like! You can even add a third night at a discounted rate if you just can’t face returning to real life (subject to availability). 

The Town & Area

Langebaan is a sleepy holiday town with one of the best locations in the country – on the shores of the Langebaan Lagoon and bordering the West Coast National Park. Rampant development and dodgy seaside architecture has resulted in Langebaan sprawling towards Saldanha Bay but luckily this is hardly noticed at our little piece of heaven – Indigo Blue is one of the town’s original beach houses and Sandbaai has hardly changed. We are at the far end of town, 20 minutes walk from the entrance to the National Park. The town has everything you will need – Spar, Pick ‘n Pay (even a Woolworths 25 minutes away), banks, ATMs, laundry services, shops etc. The town centre is a 20 minute walk on the beach away.  Various activities are available including kite boarding lessons, guided kayak trips on the Lagoon with Gravity Sea Kayaking, Deep Sea Fishing, Horse riding etc.  Attractions in the area include the West Coast National Park, the West Coast Fossil Park and the !Kwa Ttu San Reserve.
